September 2015 – Classic Car Events Roundup
Perhaps the most celebrated month in any classic car enthusiast's calendar, September presents one of the most exciting and diverse schedules year upon year. From the infamous Goodwood Revival to Berkeley VW show, our calendars are dotted with a huge selection when it comes to classic cars this month.
One of the most important dates of the year for many vintage car fans, the Goodwood Revival has gone from strength to strength ever since its inaugural year in 1998. As hundreds of people descend upon their wardrobes in a bid to secure the perfect outfit, competitors from throughout the country battle it out in an array of events from the pre-war Brooklands race to the ever-present Freddie March Memorial Trophy.
With a wide spectrum of vehicle-based goodness to choose from, the Essex show on September 12th never fails to deliver when it comes to classic cars. Boasting over 200 classics, motorbikes and vintage vehicles, the Essex show is a real must for car-mad families based in England's south east.
Another treat for those living in the south of England, Kent's Classic Car Show will play host to over 300 classics at Aylesford Priory during the second weekend of September. Now in its fifth year, KCCS offers a superb budget option with ticket prices set at only £3!
Raising awareness for Leukaemia and Lymphoma research, the Big Welsh Classic Car Show will host its inaugural event this September for a fun-filled day of classic cars, military vehicles and buses. With the aim set for smashing £1m target, enjoy a great day out and aid a truly great cause at Port Talbot's Margam Park.
Established by local man and vintage enthusiast Michael Spitteler at the turn of the millennium, the Kettering Vintage Rally and Steam Fayre celebrates all that is great and good in the world of mechanical nostalgia. Held in Cranford, just outside of Kettering, the rally plays host to over 100 classic cars, steam engines and motorcycles – resulting in a great day out for everyone involved.
From classic hippy campers through to original Sciroccos, Berkeley VW Show is the only place any VW enthusiast should be heading on September 27th. Located between Bristol and Gloucester, patrons will profit from both a range of vehicles and Berkeley's infamous autojumble – and from only £5 a ticket, you'd be mad to miss this great show.
